Micheal Guirguis, Director, Clinical Pharmacology & Data and member of API’s senior leadership team visited Calgary this week to be a part of the Alberta Technology Symposium by Canadian Blockchain Consortium. 

The Alberta Technology Symposium is a two-day exploration event of the province’s emerging tech companies, organizations and solutions. Uniting leaders from across key disciplines like blockchain, fintech, healthcare and sustainability, this landmark event showcases the diverse ways that homegrown technologies are reimagining Alberta’s future and highlights how our tech ecosystem can attract new investment and support innovation hubs with long-term sustainability.

About the panel: The Canadian health care system is undergoing an innovation revolution, with the emergence of innovative new ways of predicting health outcomes, treating chronic conditions and enabling a better standard of care for patients. From AI and deep data intelligence to automation and digitalization, this panel discussed the latest in health technologies and how disruptive companies can navigate adoption challenges in Canada’s low-tech legacy infrastructure.

The event also hosted one on one matchmaking sessions giving attendees the opportunity to create relationships with government agencies, executives, start-ups, technology leaders and raise funds for their businesses.
