We’d like to introduce you to Richard Roy, our Vice President of Product Development & Scale-up. Richard brings a wealth of experience guiding life sciences start-ups, and has the knowledge to help our clients navigate the complexities of moving a product through the many stages of development, regulation and scale.

We were proud to sponsor this year’s virtual WiSER Annual Industry Mixer!
WiSER (Women in Science, Engineering & Research), a sub-community of WISEST, supports the retention and advancement of women and under-represented groups in STEM careers by providing opportunities for networking, mentoring, professional development, and more.
Some of our team, including our Director of Programs & Ecosystem Development, Paramita Chaudhuri Basu, and our Manager of Programs, Marina Barbu, attended. We are proud to have such an inclusive and diverse team at API that enriches the life sciences ecosystem, and were very glad to participate!
API at the StartupTNT’s Investment Summit VI
Last week was the finale of StartupTNT’s Summit VI. Startup TNT Investment Summits help raise capital for startups, and make it easier for local investors, both seasoned and new, to angel invest. We were proud to participate in this amazing initiative, and would like to congratulate the fantastic winners!
Recipients include 48 Hour Discovery in Edmonton, Nimble Science in Calgary, Construction Clock in Manitoba, and Offstreet in Saskatchewan!

Pacylex Receive FDA Approval for Cancer Research
Pacylex, an Edmonton born company, got some great news this month! They received FDA Fast Track Designation after their Investigational New Drug approval for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. Congratulations to Pacylex on this success and an amazing next step for their innovative cancer research!
